Playlists

There are several ways to get on playlists for free. One way is to reach out directly to playlist curators and pitch your music to them. Another strategy is networking with Spotify playlist promotion companies that can assist in submitting your music and increasing its chances of being added [1]. Additionally, you can create your own artist playlists and have them appear on your artist profile [2]. You can also submit your music to free sites that allow you to submit your music to Spotify playlists directly [^3]. Lastly, you can use YouTube to find helpful tips and guides on how to get on Spotify playlists for free [4].

List of Playlist Submission Platforms

2. Best Playlists Ever https://thebestplaylistsever.com/

3. Virmedius https://virmedius.com

4. Submit Hub (not free, but real handy) https://www.submithub.com/ *This platform is super popular and a great way to target genre specific playlists while getting quality feedback from curators.

5. Never Enough Music https://www.neverenoughmusic.com/

6. Musosoup (not free, but still awesome!) https://www.musosoup.com/ *This platform is great for an independent release to gain traction on blogs, and music magazines for reviews and write-ups. There are also playlist features and I find it’s a great cost-effective way to market your music without spending hundreds of dollars through a marketing agency.

7. SoundPlate https://soundplate.com/new-spotify-playlists/

8. INDIEMONO https://indiemono.com/

9. The Static Dive https://staticdive.com/

10. Chalkpit Records https://www.chalkpitrecords.com/music-submissions

11. Spotify *This submission platform is available through your Spotify For Artists page. Within the tab “Music” you will see the option of “Upcoming”. Here is where you will pitch your track to Spotify curators, but make sure you submit it with at least 2 weeks for proper consideration.

12. iMusician https://iMusic.com/playlistsubmissions *iMusic is also a distributor, but they have a super easy to use free playlist submission for artists who don’t use their distribution as well.

13. Playlist Map https://playlistmap.com/ *A reader of the blog suggested this platform to me, and it has both free and paid options for submission. The free one gives you the opportunity for limited, daily submissions, so it’s definitely worth a try!
